Solid new ramen place on Sawtelle, with a different flavor profile to the normal Tonkotsu ramen that's everywhere. The broth is deep and flavorful, and thicker than most of the other places. Noodles were tasty and the egg was good. Would not recommend getting the side of the chicken, it was flavorless unless you put the yuzu kosho on it, and heavily charred

Food is unlike anything ive had before! Charcoal grilled chicken over rice or in ramen is amazing and savory. Can be a little heavy but love it every once in a while. Service is great and staff is kind :)

Stopped into Torisoba Sumiya recently and was really impressed with their Tori Paitan Ramen — one of the best bowls of chicken ramen in LA and a standout among Sawtelle ramen spots. The broth was luxuriously rich yet clean, packed with deep umami that lingers without being heavy. The noodles had excellent bite, and the tender chicken chashu was cooked just right. The seasoned egg was a highlight — creamy and flavorful. Everything was balanced and thoughtfully put together. Hands down one of the best chicken-based ramen bowls I’ve tried. I also tried the Charcoal Grilled Chicken Don — it was solid, with good char and flavor, but didn’t wow me the way the ramen did. Next time I’d come back just for the ramen. Friendly service and comfortable space — a perfect spot when you want a quality bowl without the crazy waits some other Sawtelle places have. If you’re looking to explore beyond tonkotsu, this is an excellent place for chicken ramen in LA. I’ll definitely be returning for that broth!

Torisoba Sumiya joins many of the great ramen restaurants on Sawtelle. It is located on the street side of the Olympic Collection on the corner of Sawtelle and Olympic Boulevard. It is a cozy restaurant with about 10 tables and counter seats to watch the open kitchen prepare the fire roasted chicken. We had the fire roasted chicken ramen, rich chicken ramen and the spicy chicken ramen. They are all served with a rich chicken broth. We also ordered the ground chicken bowl on the side which was quite tasty. They also have yuzu kosho on the table if you would like to add some flavor. I would highly recommend Torisoba Sumiya.

I tried this new place and left with a smile. The spicy chicken ramen is rich, flavorful and big. It really is spicy and enjoyable. I asked for the combo with a bowl of rice and chicken. Good portions. Staff was nice.

Everything was BOMB ... like no English dictionary words can praise the food here. And the three chef is so cute cooking everyone order in that kitchen lol RUN! If you haven’t tried this place

One of the most unique and authentic ramen places I’ve ever tried. I LOVED the charred chicken in the ramen. The spice level was excellent. It was absolutely delicious. The noodles were also cooked to perfection. It’s such a hidden gem! I will definitely be coming here again! 10/10 experience
